About Me

Hello! I’m Brian Wise, an Education Technology Specialist for a public comprehensive school district located in Central California. I’m an experienced conference presenter who has entertained and informed a variety of audiences including teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and (of course) students. I’m proud to be your newest #CCCUE Board Member!

I have always been passionate about using technology to enhance student learning, all the way back to my very first year as a classroom teacher, when I built a class website on Geocities … are you old enough to remember that? I hold a Master’s Degree in Education Technology and have been a Google for Education Certified Trainer since 2016.

Although I have a wealth of experience with all things EdTech, my particular areas of expertise include Chromebook/Google Workspace, equity and inclusion, accessibility for learners with special needs, and student data privacy. My current work includes overseeing program design, professional development, and ongoing support for seven school campuses–including elementary, middle, and high schools, and a publicly-funded charter campus. Prior to my current work, I served as a high-school science teacher for 20 years.

I am also a proud dad to two sons and a dog. I’ve been a strict vegan since 2019. I enjoy writing (both fiction and nonfiction), hiking, running, and cooking. I also enjoy playing chess, even though I usually lose – especially when I’m playing my son.

Thank you for visiting my website. Feel free to fill out my online form if you’d like to contact me. Check out my Patreon if you’d like to support my work.
